Bio Fuel Extended Warranty

CNC underwrite Bio-fuel extended warranty through their CNC-BioFuelWarrantyPlus product on behalf of Lloyd's. This can be applied to many diesel engines. This covers breakdown to the electrical or mechanical component parts directly attributable to the conversion to, or use of, Bio-fuel.

We can insure in concentrations up to B100 (100%).

Where in the world?

Almost everywhere.

What is covered?

If your engine breaks due to electrical or mechanical breakdown directly attributable to the conversion to, or use of, Bio-fuel, the warranty will pay for the repair to the engine. Examples are breakdown to the cylinder head gasket, the oil pump and the timing chain.

How long can we provide the warranty for?

Continuously.

What is the limit of protection?

We will pay up to the amount agreed in the warranty schedule, over the life of the warranty.

There is no limit to the number of payments that can be made save that the total amount that can be recovered under the warranty cannot under any circumstances exceed the amount shown in the warranty document's schedule.

There is also a maximum amount any one claim that can be recovered following a breakdown. The amount is shown in the schedule - see full terms and conditions.

What does the warranty pay for?

If your engine breaks down, we pay for the costs to put it back in working order. This means the costs of labour and parts. We pay for the expediting costs to ship parts from overseas if this is the only way to repair your engine. We may decide to repair damaged parts rather than replace them.

Is regular servicing required?

All engines must be serviced in accordance with Manufacturers recommendations and any additional requirements under the Warranty

What is the level of excess?

The level of the excess varies according to the age and mileage, or kilometerage of the engine

Can the warranty be cancelled?

The warranty cannot be cancelled by the warranty provider or by CNC Asset.

If you are selling the plant or vehicle, or ceasing to trade, then you can cancel the warranty and obtain a pro rata refund or sell the plant or vehicle with the warranty included. In either case the warranty must be claim free. Otherwise you cannot cancel the warranty. In the event of the warranty being cancelled, CNC reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to £250.

What's not included?

Any electrical or mechanical breakdowns during the manufacturer's warranty period or thereafter not attributable to Bio-fuel.
No consumable items are covered.
Any damage you cause to the engine by continuing to use it when it is broken.
Any damage or breakdown caused by defective Bio-fuel.
Electrical and mechanical breakdowns if your equipment has not been regularly serviced or maintained.
